Project Highlights
Carol A. Tye Legacy Garden
Located on Endicott Avenue, the Carol Tye Legacy Garden transforms an underutilized space into a welcoming garden. In partnership with the City, the BIC added tulip plantings, a community bench, all-season landscaping, and an engraved paver program that allows residents and families to become a lasting part of the garden. Complete this form to support the BIC by purchasing an engraved paver.
Kindness Cabinet
The BIC debuted a Kindness Cabinet, with support from the City of Revere and Revere School Department, to provide non-food essentials to neighbors in need. This pilot program features a cabinet where members of the community can both take what they may need and add what they can.
Douglas Cummings Park
The BIC worked to reclaim city land to build a memorial park in the heart of Beachmont. Each year the BIC hosts a Christmas tree lighting in the park for all members of the community to enjoy.
Jim Kimmerle Park
Collaborating with the City of Revere, the BIC fought to build a park instead of a parking lot in Beachmont Square. It offers a space for events, such as the Multicultural Festival, and a place to sit in the busy square.
Public Stair Restoration
The BIC raised funds and worked with the city to repair and rebuild three critical public staircases connecting the lower and upper portions of Beachmont.
Home Pride Award
The BIC established this award to recognize the beautiful and well maintained homes of Beachmont and inspire others to keep their homes neat and beautiful.
Little Libraries
The BIC created and maintains five little libraries throughout the neighborhood to provide a place for residents to share books with one another.
Clean Street Sweep Fleet
The BIC organizes quick, often spur-of-the-moment, cleanups around the neighborhood to keep our community sparkling. Many hands make light work, so we always look forward to new people joining these cleanups.
