Watch a video to see highlights of the Beachmont Improvement Committee’s work and the impact it has had in the neighborhood.
Project Highlights
Douglas Cummings Park
The BIC worked to reclaim city land to build a memorial park in the heart of Beachmont. Each year the BIC hosts a Christmas tree lighting in the park for all members of the community to enjoy.
Jim Kimmerle Park
Collaborating with the City of Revere, the BIC fought to build a park instead of a parking lot in Beachmont Square. It offers a space for events, such as the Multicultural Festival, and a place to sit in the busy square.
Public Stair Restoration
The BIC raised funds and worked with the city to repair and rebuild three critical public staircases connecting the lower and upper portions of Beachmont.
Home Pride Award
The BIC established this award to recognize the beautiful and well maintained homes of Beachmont and inspire others to keep their homes neat and beautiful.
Little Libraries
The BIC created and maintains five little libraries throughout the neighborhood to provide a place for residents to share books with one another.
Clean Street Sweep Fleet
The BIC organizes quick, often spur-of-the-moment, cleanups around the neighborhood to keep our community sparkling. Many hands make light work, so we always look forward to new people joining these cleanups.
